Miraval: The Final Chapter. What You Have All Been Waiting For. Maggie, the Psychic.

Miraval, The Psychic, Maggie Garbarini.

So, it’s your last day….and it’s hard to wake up and get moving .  You know you have to leave this place before you’re ready, and there is not a single thing you can do about it.

My last time to ring the bell

Bummer.

So, what do you do on your last day?  How about visit a psychic to find out what you should do when you get home?  Made sense to me.

Maggie was coincidentally a visiting practitioner the same weekend I was at Mirval.  Although, I don’t really believe anything is a coincidence…I more think she was the Oracle and I was Neo.

Anyway, I had never been to a psychic.  Never wanted to.

But, with everything I was trying to change, I thought it might be good for a little guidance.  See what it’s like.  Why not?  I had actually run into her twice during that day.  So I announced at dinner:

“If I see her one more time tonight, I will schedule an appointment tomorrow”.

We walk out of dinner, and instead of turning left to go to my room, I turn right to go use the rest room.

BAM.  There she is.

I walk away, use the restroom.  Come out.

I bet she's just around this corner....

BAM.  There she is again.

Fine, Universe.  I hear you.  Don’t break any more of my bones.  I’m going.  I’m GOING.

Just give me your first available appointment tomorrow

I walk over to Guest Services and get an appointment for 8 a.m. the next morning.  I arranged it so that I was having breakfast with the girls immediately afterward, so I would be able to process with them.

Try to sleep.  Good freaking luck.

Freaky psychic stuff

Now, I have nothing to compare it to, but I liked her style, she used numerology and tarot cards.  And another set of cards that I have no idea what they are.  Some of the highlights of what she shared…that I’m willing to share, that is:

  • Important dates for my would be February 4th and October 8th.
  • I would be moving to the northwest or New Jersey.
  • There was something to do with a boat in my future.
  • I would need a passport for my oversea trip, probably to London.
  • She nailed my kids’ personalities.  Sassy was the creative one who liked to save her pennies.  Tater was smart, a leader and would make a great lawyer.
  • I will be a successful writer with a book published by the time I’m 45.
  • Someone (a male) at my work would have a heart attack.
  • Something at work would be “revealed” about a person, or something behind the scenes.
  • She called my mid-life crisis “entering into my second half of life”.  I find that a bit more strengths-based.

Of note, she said something I found off (at the time).  Said she saw Tater with a paintbrush or marker or something in his hand.  I told her no, he’s not remotely interested in putting pen to paper.  It was probably a gun.  Everything to him is a gun.  But, she was insistent.  She saw him with some type of writing utensil in his hand.

Whatever.  It was a struggle just to get him to write his name at pre-school.

I recently took a bunch of pictures on my cell phone and uploaded them to my desktop today.  I had taken this picture of the Tater in his new cowboy boots.  Imagine my surprise when I saw this:

Don't know where he even got that pencil

I immediately started to think about how to take action on some of her revelations:

1) Clear out the clutter from the house.  Easier to pack.

2) Take a CPR refresher course and learn how to use the paddles at work.

3) Take a boating course.

4) Get recommendations on where to stay and what to see while in London.  Hey- it’s never too early to plan.

5) Get back to Miraval.  See Maggie again.

Preach it, Miraval!

A few observations about your psychic supplied dates: a. These dates always fall on the same day of the week. b. February 4th is two days before Kimberly’s birthday and October 8th is two days before my birthday. Apparently you will need precisely two days to prepare for these events.
